By site and building investigation, our qualified staff finds pollutant’s sources, evaluate the hazard potential and give recommendation for actions in the form of result protocols, reports, substance listings and hazardous substances registers.

We analyze and evaluate typical building pollutants like:

  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)(e.g. terpenes, ester, phenols, glycols, organic acids & CFC)
  • Semi Volatile Organic Compounds (SVOC) and other substances(e.g. plasticizers, pesticides and flame retardants)
  • Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds (MVOC)(e.g. dimethyl disulfide, 1-octen-3-ol, 3-methylfuran)

Indoor Pollutants

In the face of higher occupier’s sensibility, a rise of allergies and multifactorial pollutant effects in more isolated and sealed buildings, the importance of indoor air quality is constantly rising. By analyzing materials, dust and room air, our experts detect the interior hygienic status and contamination sources.

Ideally, we already support you before the start of construction and help to choose low-emission construction materials in the context of building certification systems.

Moreover, we can analyze the black magic dust phenomenon in living spaces.

Mold and Dry Rot

Within the microbiological spectrum, we analyze damages caused by mold, dry rot and other wood-destroying fungi. While mold can lead to health problems, dry rot can cause static problems in buildings, which often result in extensive refurbishment measures.

Our reports include, besides assessments concerning the building biology, structural-physical aspects (e.g. sealings, thermal bridges etc.) and its consequences. We also offer hygienic analyses and inspections for ventilation and air-conditioning systems according to VDI 6022.
